Для нас стало огромной неожиданностью то, что мы с Ванькой не братья, а были дядей и племянником, и то, что наши родители являются нам не родными.
Оля и Павел очень любили друг друга, затем они поженились и жили дружно на протяжении многих лет. Но было у них огорчение, не было у них детей, так как Павлу доктора вынесли не утешительный диагноз – бесплодие.
О процедуре ЭКО в то время простым людям приходилось только мечтать. В те годы чтобы стать родителями был только один выход, это усыновление. Супруги никак не решались на это, если бы не помог такой случай…
Пополнение в семье
Олина мама проживала в деревне, там она работала учительницей. Супруги часто навещали её, чтобы оказать по хозяйству помощь, да и отдохнуть от суеты города.
В очередной приезд мать рассказала, что в её классе скоро станет матерью пятнадцатилетняя девочка. Ученица забеременела, отдыхая в лагере. Семья её пьющая, и ребёнок никому не нужен. Они уже заранее сказали, что от него откажутся.
Это известие заставило Олю и Пашу задуматься:
— Мама, а что если мы его возьмём себе?
Мать пообещала поговорить со своей ученицей.
Девочка внимательно выслушала предложение учительницы и даже обрадовалась, что все так хорошо решается, и дала согласие. В тот же день, в дом Олиной матери пришла пьяная женщина и спросила:
— А может, вы заберёте и трёхлетнего малыша?
Супруги поглядели в недоумении друг на друга и спросили:
— А вы ещё имеете одного?
— Имеем. Этот малыш Машкин брат. Он мне так надоел, что я его надумала сдать в детский дом.
— С детским домом не нужно спешить, приводи его к нам для знакомства.
— Машка быстрей веди Сашку!
Беременная Маша завела в дом испуганного малыша с огромными серыми глазами. Павел взял мальчика на руки и задал вопрос пьяной матери:
— Согласна, написать отказ?
— Ты не торопи, сначала скажи, сколько заплатишь за двоих детей?
— Что, детьми торговать собралась? Ты же в детдом их собралась отдавать даром.
— Дай хоть какую сумму, нам очень нужны деньги.
— Деньги получишь после оформления всех документов.
Домой супруги уже ехали втроём, у них теперь был сын Саша, а через месяц забрали и родившегося малыша, которого назвали Иваном.

«Жили дружно, мы очень любили своих родителей и не догадывались, что они не родные, пока на пороге нашего дома через два десятка лет не появилась Маша. Разговор родителей с незнакомой женщиной происходил на лестничной площадке, но мы всё подслушали» – рассказывают дети.
— Дайте нам ещё денег, нам с мамой очень трудно живётся.
— Маша, какие деньги, дети давно по документам наши. Сколько смогли, столько вам и заплатили.
– Теперь вам нужно заплатить за моё молчание и, если вы это не сделаете, они узнают что вы им не родные.
— Сколько ты хочешь получить?
«Мы с Иваном вышли, чтобы помочь родителям с шантажисткой» — говорят дети.
— Мама, папа не давайте ей деньги, пусть все рассказывает.
На Машином лице появилось огорчение, что ей не удалось заработать, и она быстро ушла прочь.
Оле и Паше пришлось всё рассказать ребятам о том, что они им не родные, и кем они приходятся один одному.
«Родители сильно волновались, как эта новость будет нами воспринята, но зря. Мы теперь их ещё больше любим, ведь они нас вырастили и воспитали. Родители нам всегда давали самое лучшее, хотя мы им были не родные!»
